WHO ?

The hunters of Kullorsuaq are masters of the ice and polar conditions.

They are guardians of an ancestral tradition. Like their elders, they spend most of their lives navigating their sledges on the sea ice and obtaining sustenance from fishing and hunting, with immense respect for their nourishing environment.

They are doing us the honour of accepting us among them and allowing us to share very special moments of their lives. They will set the pace for our mission and offer us access to their world, customs, and know-how. This makes it possible for us, in turn, to offer you this entirely unique experience.

The quality of an expedition largely depends on the experience of your guides, who will be responsible for your safety while respecting the surrounding ecosystem. They will provide you with all the information that you need to understand and to learn as best you can about the places and events that you will encounter.

For over 15 years, in our little house in Kullorsuaq, we have been co-developing our expeditions with the Greenlanders—a project initiated at the request of the local community in order to find solutions for young hunters’ futures.

Guided by Nicolas Dubreuil, who is well-versed in expeditions and survival in a polar environment and who spends part of the year residing in Greenland, we will share the daily life of the northern polar region’s last hunters by following them for several days during a sledge expedition in Melville Bay, bringing you as close as possible to the ancestral culture of the people of the Arctic.

As the hunters of Kullorsuaq only speak Greenlandic, Nicolas will act as your interpreter and enable you to communicate with them.
